Jude Price earned a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art at Winchester School of Art. She has undertaken many art works including some commissioned pieces. Her passion is sculpture and painting.
“As long as I can remember I have always painted. I studied art at A-level and then went on to do a Open Arts Course. My degree course gave me the chance to express myself using my new found sculpting skills, and to explore a diversity of materials. These included lead, copper, latex and surgical instruments. Welding opened my eyes to a new world of steel and its endless possibilities.”
“Sculpting in different mediums I have loved the juxtaposition of the materials I have used. The tautness of the latex stretched over metal spikes, the industrial strength iron seemingly balanced in mid air have inspired my work . Recently I have recently added Ciment Fondue body moulds to my artistic repertoire resulting in a larger than life garden sculpture for a local charity”.
Jude believes strongly that art should be thought provoking; She juxtaposes work that is commercially viable and creations that evolve with a life of their own.
