Congratulations to all the winners of our Family Christmas Windows Decoration competition in 2009!!

There were many fabulous windows around town for everyone to enjoy.

The Prize Sponsors

Many thanks to our supportive sponsors this year:

The Winners

The members of Whitchurch Arts viewed all the entrants’ windows and had a wonderful experience seeing all the creativity on display in Whitchurch.  Each member chose their top three windows and the results were collated by the chairman.

The 1st place winner is…

‘Painted Santa’ by the Miller Family of Evingar Road.

Their entire front window was painted with a very festive scene. You will see more examples of their window painting around town if you visit the Charity Shop being run by the Scouts, and the loos on the Meadow.  Very creative work indeed!

Our Director of Arts, Graham Burgess writes…

Basingstoke and Deane has started a Creative café project much like the one that has been running at The Slug and Lettuce in Winchester. At one of the monthly meetings, representatives from CIBAS explained their role as promoters of the arts and in particular a facility they have of “one to one” meetings with artists wishing to improve their promotional and business skills.

They have agreed to bring those services to Whitchurch and my proposition is that we create “one to one” meetings for any Whitchurch Arts member interested.

If there are several artists in the same category we may follow this up with “one to three” or whatever.

At the end of the day a gathering of the facilitator and our group at large.

I need to know who is interested, what your product is, what times of day you are available — please fill in the form, below, to express your interest in this activity.

Thank You
Graham Burgess
