Whitchurch Arts is pleased to be promoting a window decoration contest for all Whitchurch residents.

What To Do
The idea is simply this: decorate one of your home’s windows, which is visible from the street, with a creative display for Christmas. Last year, the Reeves-Hall family decorated a couple of their windows – perhaps they can be an inspiration for your own ideas in this year’s contest?
Prizes
Around £500 worth of prizes are up for grabs!
Many local businesses are supporting this competition, some through their facilities, some with their know-how and others through donations of prizes.

Judging
Christmas bears are watched by a mysterious creature in a helicopter.
Judging of the family windows will be done in the evenings through the week of Sunday 14th December to Friday 19th December. So, either make sure your window is lit, or let the judges know (on your entry form) that you need a day-time judging.
The judges are the members of Whitchurch Arts.
But wait! You can vote for your favourites, too. A special award will be given to the window that gets the most votes from people visiting this website! Go and vote now!
Entry Forms
Entry forms were available at the library (Gill Nethercott Centre), the Silk Mill shop and the White Hart Hotel; starting on Saturday December 6, and by clicking the icon below:
Click the image, above, to get your entry form.
Fill in and return them to the boxes at those places once you have decorated your window. You can, of course, decorate more than one window, but only one will be judged.
A Visit By Father Christmas
An extra bonus: if you included £1 with your entry form and ticked the box for a Santa visit, then Father Christmas will pop around to look at your window on the evening of Sunday, 21 December between 6 and 7pm. He will leave behind a letter addressed to your kids (put their names on the entry form).
Awards Ceremony
An awards ceremony will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, December 20th at the White Hart Hotel. Mince pies and hot drinks will be available for a nominal charge…why not stay on for lunch? Other activities that morning are also planned.
